International Co-productions followed: 1996 in Italy, in the role of the prosecutor in "Für Liebe und Gerechtigkeit " - "L 'Avvocato delle Donne”. In 1997/98 he spent a year in Zimbabwe for the production of "Unter der Sonne Afrikas" - "Thinking about Africa." There he played a biologist and the entire show was shot in English. To this day, working in Zimbabwe and with the people there, counts as one of his most treasured experiences. He still maintains an intensive contact with the people there and it goes without saying, that he is very deeply troubled and appalled by how the once so peaceful country has changed in recent years, under the leadership of Robert Mugabe.

Since 1996 he can be seen in the ZDF series " Die Küstenwache” as Captain Ehlers. Production of Season 13 is currently underway. Again and again he takes the time for other interesting projects, such as the recent role of the East German prosecutor in the Sat 1 Production " Mörder kennen keine Grenzen" (2009) or in Theater Productions such as: "Blue Room" (2002/04), “Jedermann” (2003) and in 2006 in the psychological thriller "Ein später Gast”. To him theater is the mother of all acting.

In 2009 he premiered in the Berlin Cathedral in the lead role of “Jedermann”.
